Crime not heightened around Methadone Centers

A new study being published in “Addiction” found that areas around Methadone Treatment Centers are not more prone to crime as many communities often fear. On the other hand convenience stores are more associated with crime. This study flies in the face of a very common roadblock that community residents often raise in the face of continued and new operations of methadone treatment centers. These scientific findings are in line with the experience of ARTC and its patient population. At ARTC, our mission is to care, educate and to lead.
